About

Let’s get down to brass tacks.

1982 - PRESENT

I was born in upstate New York, went to high school in Kentucky, and studied graphic design and photography in Indiana. With a bachelor’s degree in design and a love for the outdoors, I headed west to Utah—home of the “greatest snow on earth.” There I spent a couple of years snowboarding, working at a weekly publication, and learning to thrive under tight deadlines. My photos were regularly published, and I picked up one of life’s essential lessons: there are no friends on powder days.

In late 2006, I moved further west to California. Most of my early career was spent at Cuker as Sr. Art Director, where I crafted digital experiences for brands like Quiksilver, Nixon, Olukai, Rip Curl, and Nike. Over the years, I contributed to more than 60 award-winning projects and served as a judge for multiple online competitions, helping recognize work truly worthy of distinction.

After several successful freelance projects in web, print, and identity design, I was contracted by Renovate America (later acquired by Finance of America) to lead a rebrand and website redesign. When the project wrapped, I was offered a full-time role. For the past eight years I’ve held senior-level design positions across both marketing and product teams, shaping the way the company presents itself to customers.

Then came Covid—a blessing and a curse. Remote work became the norm, and family time became the priority. We moved back east to be closer to family, built a home on some land, and I shifted to working from home. Still, I needed a new creative outlet. In 2023, Ballston Supply Co. was born—a way to merge my love of design, headwear, and my hometown roots.

These days, you’ll rarely see me without a flannel shirt and almost never without a hat. My two kids are the center of my world and fill most of my time, but when I can, you’ll find me snowboarding, wakeboarding, or in my garage tinkering with woodworking projects.

Thanks for stopping by.
